This One's 4U is a great CD for anyone who likes Rick Braun or Chris Botti style instrumentals mixed with latin flavored jazz and R&B grooves. The CD contains 11 songs which is almost one whole hour of listening enjoyment. Bill McGee is being lauded not just for this his debut as a soloist, but also for the production and overall quality of the performances. Very seldom does an independent release receive such high marks for arrangements, production, sound quality and the performances of the fine cadre of guest musicians.

The first single is one of the smoothest versions of The Stylistics classic hit "People Make The World Go 'Round" featuring the vocals of the talented and lovely Ms. Shawn Chappelle a fantastic "Neo-Soul" vocalist from Richmond, Virginia. The second single "San Diego Sunset" has been descirbed as Miles Davis meets Sade. Which to Bill McGee is a compliment, due to his high level of respect for Miles and Sade. As you listen to the album it's easy to ascertain that Bill McGee is an excellent musician, composer and horn man, however, most people are blown away when they discover that with the exception of the two songs that feature the masterful guitar performances of Hannon Lane and Tom Reaves, all of the other instruments on the CD were performed by Bill McGee. A true professional with a history of over thirty years in the record industry, Bill McGee is also a professional music educator who has taught recording engineering at Elizabeth City State University, Instrumental Music at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA and music at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
